Starting
four years ago and waiting until now to release their
first cd, "even the air is out of tune", is pretty much
the way jeff, adam, kelly Rose of Sharon works. "we
write songs very slowly," says drummer kelly. for the
longest time they were intent on being a band which
played out locally once every five or six weeks, but
somehow managed to tour down the east coast half a dozen
times for one or two weeks with not even so much as
a demo to sell. on two of those occasions they were
on the road with friends, Kind of Like Spitting,
who they would later share a split 7" with, as this
became the first recording to be finally heard. for
up to this record, it was simply the band and their
songs. no tee shirt, no patch, no button. so here they
are, finally released on cd, engineered by Dave Auchenbach
of Small Factory fame. "we always want to work
with Dave because he has the best coffee and the best
ears for guitars." at least they have their priorites.
Dave has recently worked on records by Wheat,
Black Dice, Difference Engine, Big Bear,
Lightening Bolt and Versus.
